1-channel isolated barrier designed for use in hazardous areas. It accepts dry contact or NAMUR sensor inputs and provides relay contact outputs. The device features line fault detection (LFD), allowing for monitoring of open and short circuits. It is suitable for applications requiring Safety Integrity Level (SIL) 2 according to IEC 61508. The module is powered via a 24 V DC supply (bus powered) and is mounted on a termination board. Its compact design, with a width of only 12.5 mm, makes it ideal for installations where space is limited. The HiC2821 ensures galvanic isolation between the field and control sides, enhancing system safety and reliability.
